BACOLOD CITY — 4 suspected communist rebels had been gunned down in an encounter with authorities troopers in Barangay Santol, Binalbagan city, Negros Occidental on Wednesday.
Maj. Gen. Benedict Arevalo, third Infantry (Spearhead) Division Commander, mentioned members of the 94th Infantry Battalion, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Workplace, and the Binalbagan police carried out an operation in opposition to the alleged rebels which led to a three-minute encounter.
