Comelec to ex-commissioner Guanzon: Reply to petition to cancel party-list nomination

MANILA, Philippines — The Fee on Elections (Comelec) has directed its former commissioner Rowena Guanzon to touch upon a petition searching for to cancel her certificates of nomination because the consultant of the P3PWD party-list.

The petition was filed by Nationwide Youth Fee (NYC) Undersecretary Ronald Cardema.

In an order dated July 6, the Comelec First Division instructed Guanzon to submit her reply “inside a non-extensible interval” of three days upon receipt of the order.

“With out giving due course to the Petition to Deny Due Course or Cancel certificates of Nomination with Prayer for Suspension of Proclamation filed on 27 June 2022, the Fee (First Division) hereby REQUIRES respondent to file her reply and/or remark to the Workplace of the Clerk of the Fee, by way of e-mail, inside a non-extendible interval of three calendar days from receipt . . .” the order learn.

Guanzon took her seat as consultant of the P3PWD after the Comelec en banc granted the request of the unique nominees of the get together to withdraw.
