Ombudsman can’t drive public officers to file SALN – Rep. Abante


MANILA, Philippines — The Workplace of the Ombudsman cannot compel public officers to file their Assertion of Property, Liabilities and Internet Price (SALN) as noncompliance doesn’t carry any legal legal responsibility, in accordance with Manila Rep. Bienvenido Abante Jr.

Abante provided this opinion, which he stated based mostly on his dialog with Ombudsman Samuel Martires, in the course of the plenary debates on the price range on the Home of Representatives on Tuesday.

Abante made it clear that he had been giving his SALN yearly.
