Taiwan says it is prepared to interact with China, does not need to shut door

TAIPEI — Taiwan doesn’t need to shut
the door to China and is prepared to interact within the spirit of
goodwill, however on an equal foundation and with out political
preconditions, Premier Su Tseng-chang stated on Sunday.

Relations between Taipei and Beijing, which claims
democratically dominated Taiwan as its personal territory, are at their
lowest in many years, with China growing political and navy
stress to get the island to just accept its sovereignty.

Earlier on Sunday at a safety discussion board in Singapore, China’s
protection minister stated the Chinese language authorities sought “peaceable
reunification” with Taiwan however reserved “different
choices.”

Talking to reporters after China banned the import of

China has refused to talk to Tsai since she was first
elected in 2016, viewing her as a separatist who has refused to
settle for that China and Taiwan are a part of “one China.”

Tsai says solely Taiwan’s individuals can determine their future, and
whereas they need peace with China will defend themselves if
attacked.
