US VP Harris, Japan PM Kishida to debate Taiwan safety challenge — US gov’t official

ABOARD AIR FORCE TWO — U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will talk about a partnership on Taiwan safety points, a senior U.S. administration official mentioned on Monday aboard Air Drive Two.

The official additionally advised reporters that Washington welcomes Japan’s elevated navy energy and safety function.

Harris is about to attend former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s funeral on Tuesday after holding talks with Kishida on Monday.
